Hunslet Austerity 3829 has today arrived at the Gwili Railway from the Swansea Vale Railway. Loco is non operational at present, bottom end has received a full overhaul, boiler needs the usual retube and firebox work. No date for a return to steam.

    Welsh Guardsman

The firebox of Welsh Guardsman has been checked for thickness and the plates have been deemed too thin for another 10 year ticket..so new firebox required......
