Just been browsing West Coast Railways web site, and they have announced a help for heros train double headed by 70013 ( running as 70048 The Territorial Army) and Scots Guardsman starting at Lancaster and picking up at Preston and Blackburn for Carlisle. This looks to be a stunner, even if you do not ride on this then i would suggest a donation to the cause if you turn out to photograph it.

Details of how to support this project will be in the railway press in their next editions. If you cannot be with us on the day, there are a number of other ways that you can assist and they will be announced in said magazines.

A great deal of help has been offered by the railway industry for our plan and your support is earnestly sought. Read all about it as above, but if you can do something on the day, you will be contributing to "Help for Heroes" in the best way that we, as the railway community, can.

    Please help.

    Graham

PS. Booking line is 01524 737751

Haha thanks Ralph, I'll pencil it in, sounds like an excellent tour, the timing of which should allow for plenty of clag still :)
