    http://railway-photography.smugmug.com/SteamMisc/New-to-id/ = LMS 14147 (G&SWR =454) Smellie 4-4-0 built 1886 -1889
    http://railway-photography.smugmug.com/SteamMisc/New-to-id/i-SGXFTK6 = LMS 14761 (CR=943) Smith River Class 4-6-0 built 1915
This loco was one of 6 built for HR but found too heavy for the lines and subsequently sold to the Caledonian Railway
http://railway-photography.smugmug.com/SteamMisc/New-to-id/i-wVbrDH4 = Stroudley 0-6-0 built for LB&SCR but 1 of 12 bought by S&MJR in 1920 later absorbed by LMS at Grouping
    http://railway-photography.smugmug.com/SteamMisc/New-to-id/i-Lv5VFWV = LMS 1434 (NSR=41) Adams NSR Class M 0-4-4T built 1907-20
    http://railway-photography.smugmug.com/SteamMisc/New-to-id/i-zGhk397 = LMS 27370 (LNWR=3315) Ramsbottom / Webb 1F 0-6-0T (Special tank) built 1870 - 80)
    http://railway-photography.smugmug.com/SteamMisc/New-to-id/i-JKnwJjV = LMS27384 (LNWR=3049) As above
http://railway-photography.smugmug.com/SteamMisc/New-to-id/i-FNgFmMd/A - A pair of Johnson MR 4-4-0s BUT the nearest appears to be a Fowler rebuild (483 Class) whilst the leading loco appears to be an earlier Deeley rebuild. The train is an up express to St Pancras awaiting departure from Kettering.

Neil : The above information comes from the 1966 series "Locomotives at the Grouping" by H.C. Casserley & S.W. Johnson published by Ian Allan issued in 4 parts (1 for each of the Grouping companies) and is associated with the 1967 series "BR Steam Locomotives from Nationalisation to Modernisation" by Alan Williams and David Percival published by Ian Allan and issued in 4 parts (1 for each Region). Given your frequent requests for info on these early steam images I would recommend that you try to buy these books as you will probably solve a large number of your queries.
