Help needed with some 1930's & 1940's GWR locos

    Hi All

    i have added some 60-70 year old photos of GWR 0-6-0PT's & 0-4-0 sadle tanks and i would br greatfull for some help with the clas of loco and some locations
    3 photos of open cabbed 0-6-0 Pannier tanks
    963 Pontypool 1935

    Hi Neil,
    The only one I can help a little with is 1144, 0-4-0ST S.H.T. introduced 1909, Hawthorn Leslie design for S.H.T. weight 26tons 17cwt, pressure 150 lb, cyls 14" X 22", Driving wheels 3' 6", T,E, 13,090 lb.
    I have similar information about Nos 1151/2 but not 1153, sorry. Hope this helps.

    Received the following earlier from Mick Pope


    963 = '1076' or 'Buffalo' class built 1874 originally as saddle tank
    rebuilt as pannier 1922, scrapped 1936.

    1047= '1016' class built Wolverhampton works 1870 as saddle tanks, rebuilt
    as pannier1912, scrapped 1935.

    1227 = Dean '850' class built Wolverhampton works 1877 assaddle tank,
    rebuilt as pannier 1914, scrapped 1938.

    2131 = '2022' class built Wolverhampton works 1903 as saddle tank, rebuilt
    as pannier 1924,scrapped 1951.
