For work purposes, a colleague where I work is trying to get in touch with the HRA. However, on their website there is no postal address and no phone number for contact!

Surely as an organisation they can't be that secretive?

Does anyone have a snail mail address and a phone number whereby we could get in contact?

Thanks!

Tom

From Broadlines:

Registered office: 2 Littlestone Road, New Romney, Kent, TN28 8PL

As to telephone numbers it probably depends on which advisor or department you want. I don't think there is a central office structure, it is an association with various persons working from their own places.

However I found this in Sidelines:

All Correspondence and enquiries to:
Andrew Goyns, 28 George Street, Altofts, Normanton, West Yorkshire WF6 2LT
Tel: 0800 756 5111 x 900 Fax: 0844 736 5887 Email: contact@hra.gb.com

The Heritage Railway Association is staffed entirely by volunteers and they are spread across the UK.

Contact by Phone

We have, for a number of years now, had a Virtual Switchboard Telephone System. It is designed to enable calls to be made to a single 0800 (Freephone) number and then to be transferred to a nominated extension. If you do not know the extension you need then you can listen to the listed options on the various menus available. In addition we added another national 01 type number which simply receives the call and connects immediately through to the main switchboard. This number is intended for use by those who are calling from a mobile phone who would find dialling an 0800 number rather expensive. It is often the case that 01 and 02 numbers are included in the caller’s bundle of minutes.

Our Numbers are:
0800 756 5111 & 01924 918180

It is important to remember two things. Firstly if you know the extension of the person you want to speak to then do not key the number until the main switchboard has answered. If you simply add it to the numbers dialled it will not go through. Secondly if you are calling on the 01 number please remember that the 01 number answers and then transfers you to the main switchboard. Only then can you key extension numbers.

Contact by Post

Postal contact is best after initial contact by either phone or e-mail so that we can be sure you are sending your mail to the correct address. Our Registered Office is on a member railway and is not staffed by HRA personnel. Any mail sent to the registered is forwarded on to our 1[SUP]st[/SUP]Point of Contact. Mail can of course be sent, if preferred, direct to our 1[SUP]st[/SUP]Point of Contact.

Contact by E-Mail and via Website

E-Mails can be sent to our 1[SUP]st[/SUP]Point of Contact at contact@hra.gb.com. This enables us to ensure that the matter is dealt with by the most appropriate person as soon as possible. Contact from the website will generally come through to this address unless it is anything that is specifically for the webmaster.

1[SUP]st[/SUP]Point of Contact

Ihave referred a number to times to our 1[SUP]st[/SUP]Point of Contact. The details are:

Contact: Andrew Goyns
28 George Street, Altofts, Normanton WF6 2LT

Tel: 0800 756 5111 x320 or 01924 918180 x320
Fax: 0844 736 5887

E-Mail: contact@hra.gb.com

Members of the Association receive a bi-monthly newsletter “Sidelines& Broadlines” and this includes our 1[SUP]st[/SUP] Point of Contact Details. Members can also access our Members Handbook on the website for details of our Committees, Directors, Officers and Advisers.
