Bewildered train travellers thought they had fallen down a black hole into Wonderland when they stumbled across a Mad Hatter's tea party.

The tea party was held at Norwich Railway Station yesterday to launch a new drive to get people to take trains and drink in the county's tea rooms.

One staff dressed as Alice, the White Rabbit and the Mad Hatter and enjoyed tea and cakes with invited guests from the Bittern and Wherry Lines on the station concourse.

The Tea Rail initiative has been set up by the Bittern and Wherry Lines Community Rail Partnerships (CRPs).
