Hi everyone I just wondered what your opinions were on the locos with sound. Looking at the price difference compared to a standard model do you think it is worth it or just an overpriced gimmick?

Listened to a few recordings, what I would do is go into a shop and listen for yourself to the recordings, A4's for example are good, some others aren't, all about what locomotive your after.

There's some clips of such models on Youtube of such Models if that helps your selection.

Seemingly quite a few of the models the frequency of the beat is not exactly in time with wheel rotation speed, and a few 3 cylinder machines sound awfully like 2 or 4 cylinder types, needs a bit more refining before i'd be tempted personally.
