    Hello everyone,

I'm trying to research information on the old Western Fuel Depot (Bristol, Whapping Wharf) shunter 'Western Pride', a Hudswell Clarke 0-6-0DM, formerly Port of Bristol Authority No.30.

As far as I know it is currently stored at MoD Long Marston (And was a previous resident at Bitton on the AVR).

Does anyone have information on who the current owners are and what their current plans for the loco are (If any?).

I would really appreciate any info anyone has on the loco.

I believe it was this particular engine that used to shuttle from Ashton Meadows sidings down the BHR's current route to the Western Fuel Depot, and whose breakdown in 1983 brought the BHR's own steam loco 'Henbury' out of retirement to haul coal trains.

Here's a pic of the loco at Long Marston in 2011:

And shunting the WFC depot many years ago (I regularly park my car where the engine is stood in the picture)

    Many thanks
