Instamatic Black and White 1973

    Instamatic Black and White 1973 (Part 1)

    Having a bit of a sort out I came across the “shoe box” brimming full of the negatives of all of the colour print films taken of my family over the last thirty years. I was briefly looking through the box when fate took a kindly turn in that I noticed that one of the packets of negatives actually contained 4 strips of 35mm colour transparencies of generally class 37’s sometime in the 1990’s. These were a complete surprise and I can not remember taking this roll of film. More of those later no doubt because also in the packet I realised where strips of black and white negatives from 1974/75 which I thought long lost (although I do have a number of 6x4 prints). I then realised that there were also five strips of 126 instamatic black and white negatives. Again I can not remember taking or ever having had any prints from this roll of film. I have managed to work out that the 126 negatives date from my week long 1973 Western Region Railrover holiday in July 1973 and a “shed bash” visit toSouth Walesin September 1973. Here are some of the results. Please take account on the camera used and at that time the lack of any skills of the photograph. Feedback and comments welcome.
