This afternoon at 16.31 proved the worth of the absurdly high film speeds available on modern digital cameras: At this time the return working of the Capital's Scot railtour passed through the station at Acklington headed by 87002 ROYAL SOVEREIGN on her return journey to Kings Cross from Edinburgh Waverley.. Yes I am an active volunteer
Olympic Stadium dominates the skyline as D213 Andania approaches Lea Junction on March 1 with The East Anglian to Norwich. Rare to see railtours out this way and on this bit of line.

Frustratingly I'd gone out to Romford to catch the return journey, but Traksy hadn't updated for me to show it having passed Brentwood, so ended up catching me off guard there.

A couple of photos of The East Anglian 2, crossing the Stour at Manningtree on the way to Norwich and passing Finningham in Suffolk on the way back.
