    Interlaken witnessed a v fine festival

    M.G 208 1067 + J.S.909(Bloney Ch visitor) worked public trips incl footplate rides.
    BRB ran their no2 a coal burning which is normally not used/reserve/spls only
    SPB ran their 800cm no5. Normally steam on this rack line is v rare/monthly

    Mainline Sat 01.202 Bern + ret
    241a65 Basle (Full) ret on sun
    52.221 Val de Travers Ret sun
    64.518 Huttwil -- ret sun

    Sun 5810 Burgdorf + ret. This returned double headed with the 64 tank
    to Burgdorf. V few Brits(unlike Trier or Bebra) but poss as good.If you like secondary trains as I do this was an ideal festival!! 4hour run on remote /fr only branch lines--excellent fun+friendly

    I travelled (Kadern-Haltingen-) BASLE-Olten-Huttwil with 64.518 with 2 coaches on a cross-border "positioning run "on Acension Day May13 a v good day for steam in parts of Germany/Switz. There were at least 10 others + buffet enjoying the tank loco speeding along the main line..........

    Most were "pay on the day" + lightly/v moderately loaded.
