    It's thumper 458 at the Downpatrick and Co Down Rly. Crious blend of re-used Mk1 underframes with mk2 style bodies added and power equioment from older DMUs (600hp Englsh Electic...same set up as Southern Region DEMUs

    Half a mile east of Snells Nook Halt. (1883-1931)

    No I do not currently volunteer
    When was 458 built? Is it older than class 58 58016 which I think is the most recent built loco preserved. (Built 1984)

    I seem to remember mk1s being cut at BREL York in 1985 to recover the underframes for reuse.
