Isambard Kingdom Brunel Exhibition at Ealing Library, July 2016

Discussion in 'On Track.' started by GWR Preservation Group, Feb 16, 2016.

Longstanding member Edward Boxell has, over the last few years, assembled information about this very historical gentleman, he of tall hat and a cigar smoker.

Edward has compiled many display panels suitable for all ages to view, both pictorial and informative in every way. Brunel, born in 1806 and died aged 53, was a mechanical and civil engineer responsible for significant inventions and structures i.e. bridges, viaducts and tunnels and indeed the Steamship, S.S. Great Britain which lies at Bristol dockyard.

Further interesting artefacts can be seen at the STEAM museum in Swindon.

This display will be in place at Ealing Library during July this year and further details will be made available very soon.
