    a bit perverse to call the fourth class member Pioneer I always thought.

    I was at Pangbourne - 9 years old with my Brother Doug and me mum!

    D1010 and D1048 were a bonus!

    Only saw a few westerns in service - mostly at Ufton Nervet Crossing .... and then the sadness of Swindon yard in late 77 I think - there was a Firemans strike at the time.
