Quite a big programme this year ago. Hopefully FS will be able to have more than the 6 steam locos that are currently fit for service! One of which is on Sardinia, and another which is a 2-6-0T. At least four locos are due back shortly, though @ilvaporista might have a better idea.

If anyone is thinking of booking, most of the trips from Siena don't have a diesel involved. Some of the Milan etc ones often start with an electric then change over to steam en route, such as today's trip to Varello Sesia. E646 electric to Novara, then FS Gr 880 2-6-0T plus 3 coaches and a van to Varello.

Bookings can be done online or via ticket machines at the stations as well, and are pretty cheap. Today's trip is only €30.
