IWSR launches Historic Wagon Restoration Group

    The IWSR's C&W Supervisor Gary Walker is building on his success as a 'Volunteer Magnet' by launching a department devoted to the restoration of our mainly pre-grouping wagon collection. The C&W team have already turned out a significant number of restorations, Gary hopes that far more can be achieved with a dedicated and focused group.

    Gary is hosting an inaugural meeting at Havenstreet (2pm, Saturday 18th September) to discuss plans and gather ideas - please come along if you are interested in helping him take this plan forward. For more details see the link below:

    Well done, that's a good idea - hope it works out. Restorations (or replicas!) are important for any heritage concern, and the poor relation often seems to be the goods stock!

    Well, that is exactly how it works at the SVR, the wagon guys up here are technically a spin off of the pannier tank fund!
