    Always had a soft spot for the star of Farnley shed.;) Then again, 55022 on both engines up the hill from Dewsbury to Morley tunnel will take a lot of forgetting, you could hear it all the way up the valley, and they're still re-pointing Batley station, the damn thing rattled the whole of the station.:D

    Article in latest Rail magazine states that the Deltic was only running north of Inverness due to it only running on one engine at present, one is shut down due to coolant leaks. It was felt there was too much risk of it 'sitting down' on the Highland Mainline with the Royal Scotsman, so a 66 worked this leg to Inverness.
