Secretary of State for Transport Ruth Kelly has said in Parliament that she is open-minded to the possibility of reopening the Great Central Main Line to provide a new inter-city link to Birmingham.

Doh! (I will have to tell myself off in a minute - as this section is for news only - not for posting threads).

Apologies for that. Transport Briefing used to supply many articles that were easy and free to access, with further articles (and I believe) in depth analysis and longer articles available after subscription. It used to be the case that if an article was publicly viewable, that it would remain so.

Policy seems to have changed, such that they have some articles publicly viewable for a brief period, and then after a period of time, available only if you are a subscriber.

I think we will no longer post links to Transport Briefing.
