A couple of post Christmas events for your enjoyment

    DECEMBER

Sunday and Monday December 27th and 28th Book and Model Sale
If you have had a busy Christmas and want a relaxing day, why not come and visit our book and model sale? In terms of books and magazines, these are surplus to our extensive library and represent most quality publishers. They include a good quantity of foreign books too. They are all realistically priced and any sales money will be put towards one of our major capital projects that will be undertaken next year. The models comprise largely of 00 gauge (including a large quantity of Hornby Dublo 3-rail engines, rolling stock, track and accessories) and some 0 gauge (mainly kits and accessories but a few boxed models as well). The event will be for two days. The doors open at 10am and close at 5pm each day (unless we have sold out of course beforehand!). There is a lot to look through, so leave yourself plenty of time to browse.

    JANUARY 2010

    Saturday 2nd January Railway Photograph Fair 10.00am - 5.00pm
The first of the very popular railway photograph fairs where the museum opens its archive of some 140,000 images, and a number of dealers bring their stocks of photographs for sale. So whichever part of the country you are interested in, or whichever locomotive is your favourite, you are almost certain to find something here to add to your collection. Dealers include Roger Carpenter, Rod Blencowe, Stuart Blencowe, Mike Thorp, Jeremy Suitor, HMRS, Friends of Hampton Loade station and the Restoration & Archiving Trust.
