One of my favourite classes is the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway 1093 Class 4-4-0 (later Class 3 saturated and Class 4 for the six superheated rebuilds). These are Aspinall's later class with 7'3" drivers (as used in his Atlantics later).
I have found it really difficult to find decent photos of these locos. There are a few in Barry Lane's excellent L&Y Locomotives, and two or three online of medium quality.
Can anyone point me to some good photos of this class?

There is a picture of No. 455 on page 106 of "The Aspinall Era" by H A V Bulleid, a drawing of 1112 on page 111, Photos of Nos. 318 and 1099 on page 137 and No. 455 on page 233.

There's a full section with lots of photos in Barry Lane's "Lancashire & Yorkshire Locomotives". An excellent book which is as 'cheap as chips' from Booklaw at the moment.
