All looked very good in Dover Priory.

My 60 plus year old BSA motorcycle got a lot of interest as well!

Very much a sight for sore eyes to see 35028 back on the Pullmans where she belongs. Passing through Edenbridge with much whistling from Jim Clarke.

And so ; GB duties done on to the next job.

After a prolonged passage through Shrewsbury 45407 heads north through Yorton, thankfully between the heaviest of the showers, en route to Carnforth and then later in the week Fort William

Following its peregrinations around the country, ex-LMS Stanier Black 5 4-6-0 No. 45407 The Lancashire Fusilier runs through Hartford station on a wet 22nd April 2024 while returning from Landore to Carnforth. The loco is clearly showing some signs of the effect of its recent workload around its smokebox door.

35028 Clan Line, Loaded Test Run, 22nd April 2024.
Filmed going slowly through Paddock Wood.
According to RTT she was supposed to be on the up main but, judging by the amount of rust on the track, the line has been out of use for several days.
Great to see her back where she belongs:).

Don't know if any staff were on board, but its function was a loaded test run following overhaul and prior to its 70th anniversary run next Saturday.

There didn’t seem to be any staff on board when it drifted past me very slowly at Paddock Wood.

The points from the Up Main to the Up Platform Loop are plain lined due to a defect. Few if any trains are booked and likely to tun via the up fast so it's low priority.

    Cheers, Neil

A nice long look at 35028 passing, thanks. I was perched in view up on the footbridge east of the station where I first learnt, and then saw that the up main doesn't actually exist at the present. Most of the point that saw the up main continue on through the station has gone for the time being, with a bit of trackwork somewhere beteeen a curve and a point where the full point used to be! So, having gone to that footbridge to get a shot of Clan Line racing through at 75 mph, I was instead treated to a nice slow pass as you were - photo below.

Nice sequence, and a new still photo opportunity of 35028.

But, assuming you filmed from the caged in footbridge, how did you mange to get a clean view through all the mesh please?

The lad in "Belmond" uniform was the only one I saw at Dover and he seemed to be a part of the photographs being taken.

The footbridge only has mesh at the higher level, beneath that there is the old, wider lattice which allows fair access through for a lens.

Very well filmed. Lovely to see unassisted steam up Shap, even with a short train. Reminds me of 1967/68 when my late father took us to Scout Green to film steam and it wasn't unusual to see a local train of about four coaches with a 'Five' at the head.
