I have just noticed this project on Facebook - how much will it extend the railway by?

Anyone know if the ultimate plan is to go deeper into the sand bits across Eastern Way? Would potentially make a great alternative starting point for the railway so close to the A5.

Why is it called Double Arches?

They will need to do something as the whole of the country bit is up for development as a brick box jungle.

Presume you mean the full length of Vandyke Road down to Stonehenge.

Yes the whole lot on both sides of the road although I don't know how immediate it is. There is a lot of bad feeling at present over the big Billington Road development where the developer promised to provide a sports centre and school but walked away as soon as the houses were finished. I think they did part fund the rebuilding of Pages Park Station though.

A stream passes under the road there through a double conduit.
