    Ian,

For better or worse, the railway at Leighton Buzzard runs through a built up urban enviroment for most of its length and follows (or is followed by) roads and/or footpaths for most of its length. The line has five level crossings over roads, about ten footpath crossings, some occupation crossings into fields and smallholdings, one works entrance crossing and the quarry entrance at Stonehenge Works. Apart from the station and yard enviroments at Page's Park and Stonehenge Works, favourate photospots appear to be around Appenine Way Level Crossing and the Clay Pipe Pub; and Vandyke Road Curve, next to Vandyke Road Level Crossing. Photography at Shenley Hill Road Level Crossing is also popular, but please take great care here, as the adjacent crossroads as been the site of numerous (road) accidents over the years, some fatal.

A search for "Leighton Buzzard Railway" in Google, will reveal the most popular locations.

Have you visited the railway at Leighton Buzzard? If not, do come, you will find us very friendly and a little different from many other railways.

The shed is always a good place for a few photographs and when things are a bit quiet some nice shots amongst the trees are possible in the station area. Leedon loop also offers some opportunities with parking very close by in Meadow Way.
Take a look through my fotopic site.

You will find most of the locations mentioned and don't forget the annual Steam-up event September 11/12 with plenty going on and well worth a visit.

    Good luck,

    Paul
