    Network Rail said it wants "running the risk" at level crossings to become as socially unacceptable as drink-driving.

    The rail operator said 96% of recorded incidents at level crossings in the UK were the result of an error by vehicle drivers or pedestrians. The company has launched a £3m advertising campaign warning of the dangers of level crossings.
