I spoke to RTC last week to make a booking for this and they said O C is definitely on it. I'm beginning to have my doubts now though as the last news was that the loco was being weighed which could take several days, 5305la.org website seems to have disappeared this morning, just get a blank white page. I would have expected a mainline test run to take place after all the work it's had done, but I haven't heard of one taking place.

Let's hope 70013 does make it on Saturday, I for one will be disappointed if it doesn't.

Should this thread not be in "Whats Going On". Perhaps the mods can do the necessary.

I note RTC have recently updated their website by posting the ACTUAL times in place of the approximate ones and still refer to the train as being hauled by 70013. This should suggest that the train is still running. Anyone on it received their tickets.
    Actual Timings
    Station Depart Return
    London VIctoria 08:15 -------
    London King's Cross ------- 19:43
    St.Albans 09:58 -------
    Peterborough ------- 17:43
    Lincoln 14:30 16:20
LIke "Groks 212" I also currently get a blank page 5305la.org website.

The 5305 website back up, showing 70013 as running.

Does anyone know what the return route is? All I've found from the RTC web site is that it's via Peterborough. There's two (obvious) routes from Lincoln to KX via Peterborough: via Newark or via Spalding.

Still showing 70013 as running, but the website [5305] looks as though it hasn't been updated since 21/02/11, so is there still a doubt over 70013?

I see times are now up on UKsteam.info. 41 minutes to get from Corby (1147) to Oakham (1228) seems quite long.

I understand that this tour is now both ways via Newark, and will have a diesel attached to assist with the shunts at Lincoln.

I agree, previous trips have been given 24 minutes for the same journey.

Possibly something off the Peterborough route perhaps ? That may be necessary if the train makes another water stop at Melton Mowbray - or is it a Pork Pie stop for the crew ?
