    Hi,
Have received a message from one of the support crew to say that 4492 is replaced by 70013 on this tour. This is to save a light engine move to and from the South West for the A4 as it is due another run out of Poole on Wednesday. As ever, please don't shoot the messenger.

That explains why 4492 didn't come 'home' on Thursday, still there's always next week - makes a lot of sense!

I had planned to have a quiet day at home tomorrow. However the change in weather forecast has given me some ideas. 70000 at Old Linslade, 70013 at Sandy and Deeping St Nicholas, then 35028/17 at Abinger Hammer!

Passed Biggleswade 10.12 on down fast in full sun, just before an HST went through on up fast. Phew! Time for a quick cuppa and a bacon sarnie before going out for 35017.

Superb run from KX to Peterborough, Steve Davies, Helen Ashby & I landed at Heathrow at 7.10am and two hours later were heading up the ECML by steam - what a way to end our trip to Sierra Leone!

Pretty poor video from Sandy this evening. Should've made more of an effort to get the camera level!

Nice lighting and steam though - if you use Sony Vegas (and probably others) you can correct the rotation. I feel a visit to Sandy coming on!

If you don't mind a couple of diesels, here is mine at St Neots - at least the activity kept me a bit warmer.

I am glad you added where you landed from, Anthony, before I started a rant about even NRM staff using unnecessary internal flights instead of trains!

(Be honest, Sierra Leone to York by train all the way would be interesting!)
