    Hi,
Thought I might draw your attention to the Llanberis Lake Railway's gala over the weekend 2nd & 3rd of July, a variety of visiting engines should make this event a proper good do. Given they don't do galas very often it must be worth making the effort to go.

Are you thinking of the Bala Lake Railway?

Same gauge, similar locos, different lake. Fair point though, if anyone from Rheilffordd Llyn Tegid happens to read this thread....

No I do not currently volunteer
Spent all day up at llanberis today and had a great time. The weather was superb and the railway put on a really good show with all the trains being nicely loaded so hopefully the event paid off. I got there early to see all 7 engines being readied outside the slate workshops and got some great shots, is there a better located engine shed on the narrow gauge? If you get the chance I'd thoroughly receommend a visit tomorrow.

Thoroughly agree James, I often forget how a small tourist railway such as this is also able to put on a great enthusiast's spectacle.
