    Just thought I'd provide people with some information of what is happening in the Dee Valley this month. Normally at this time the line is shut for maintenance, however this year we are open every weekend.

    On SATURDAYS a DMU will be operating to Timteable A which entails three return trips, departing Llangollen at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00 with return departures from Carrog at 11:50, 13:50 and 15:50. See http://www.llangollenrailcars.com/ for roster.

    On SUNDAYS a steam locomotive will be operating to Timetable A, with 6430 being rostered for 9 / 16 / 23 Jan and 80072 on 31st Jan.

    On SATURDAY 30 there is to be an Afternoon Real Ale Train run in, addition to the DMU Service, hauled by 80072.

    The real ale trains are actually quite good value for money, as a normal rover ticket costs £10. So for exactly the same price you can have a Glass and a Pint of good real ale!
