Llangollen Railway Diesel & Industrial Weekend - 1 & 2 June 2024

A bit last-minute, but we are going ahead with a diesel and industrial-themed event on 1 & 2nd of June on the Llangollen & Corwen.

This will feature 08202, 5310, 31271 & 47449. 08202 will be offering her first public trains on LR metals on a shuttle train.

Ex St Helens Glassworks, YE 0-4-0 "Pilkington" should be taking part in some form too. Rare!

Our recently-repainted Plasser GPC 72 12ton crane will be worked up to Carrog each morning for lifting demonstrations in the yard. The 50ton Cowans Sheldon crane will hopefully be on static display for photographing from passing trains.

Ex-Longbridge car factory Kitson 0-6-0ST "Austin 1" complete the industrial line-up. She should be working some brakevan shuttles.

There will be an evening train with bottled ales on sale, most likely Type 2-hauled.

08195 will be taking a break. 03162's very thorough overhaul is making excellent progress but she won't be ready until next year.
