    Great video as usual.

I'm suprised that we haven't yet had campaigns from animal lovers to ban steam trains on the grounds of being frightening to animals :)

Great video, thanks for posting. Surprising that idiot in support coach(of all places) seems to think it's fine to stick his head well out of droplight? It makes a bit of a mockery if the train manager has to tell normal punters not to do it,under threat of expulsion from the train, but members of support crew(who I normally have the highest regard for, given how much of their own time they freely donate) can't or won't comply.

Maybe he was checking, or observing something, and as he had good visibility to do so, looking forward, had a lean out.

Think calling him an idiot, is a bit uncalled for, without support crews, there would be no mainline steam.....

Sticking your head out is not dangerous if you look where you are going. I and my rail enthusiast friends did it for over 60 years without incident. (Cue a post calling me a dangerous lunatic.)

Correct but it's not allowed. No argument therefore.

It's not the regulation that stops me doing it now but the risk of rail tours with opening windows being stopped.
