    Hi all,

Does anyone know of the existence of any spare leaf springs that might be for sale at a reasonable price, for an LMS brake van of the type below?

    http://www.ws.vintagecarriagestrust.org/ws/WagonInfo.asp?Ref=9439

We would need a full set of four but would be interested to know of any available.

    Many thanks

    Paul

To be honest, its unlikely there are any knocking about spare as in my experience, Brake vans being very useful bits of kit don't tend to get broken up. You may need to buy new ones which may seem over the top but then again, there should be all the paper work and mill certification with them.

Thank chaps for the pointers - we have a couple of leads to follow up so will see what comes of those. No time pressure on this, was just wondering what was out there (if anything), or if anyone knew of one of these vans being broken up that may yield spares.
