    Hi Guys
    I've received the following email....

    ""Hi Steve,

We are a registered charity “Friends of the Flitchway” and are seeking to find a suitable Railway Carriage relevant to the old Braintree to Bishop’s Stortford line to place alongside Rayne Station.

We believe a British Railways Mark 1 or Suburban would be best but having a great difficulty in locating any for sale and would be grateful for any help you may be able to give. There is no rail track remaining.

    Regards

    Jim Cloke""

I believe there was a threatened Suburban at Churnet Valley (please, no crane ref)
Although Jim mentions BR Mk1's, that are difficult to find nowadays, would something pre group/nat be more relevant to this old line. I'm not familiar with its history.

    Cheers
    Steve

This may be 100% wrong but I think the North Norfolk had the subs from Churnet. However these will replace two subs that are in poorer condition so may or may no be availiable.
