    Some sad news from Switzerland,

The SEFT-operated preserved/tourist line, which ran from Castione-Arbedo to Cama (the last remnant of the metre gauge electric Misox railway which ran between Bellinzona and Mesocco in Canton Ticino) was permanently closed at the end of last month due to several local villages requesting it's removal to allow road reconstruction in the village of Roveredo, about mid-way along the line.

A sad loss, and one which given the line's potential, and charm, as a tourist railway, must be regretted. Some of the rolling stock is now in real danger of being scrapped, unless new homes can be found for it.
