    I am aware that several main-line diesel classes, towards the end of steam, were officially allocated to 10D Lostock Hall - these including Class 25s and 40s ... as well as at least one Class 50 for training purposes.

    After the end of steam, although the re-fuelling facility continued in use for some considerable time, it is unclear whether the diesel allocation was immediately transferred to the Preston signing-on point.
    at all upon this and, more importantly, perhaps provide me with a list of the diesels actually on the allocation as at, say, January 1968 and at August 1968?
