Yes please. We haven't had an 8F before and the last time one was booked to come it failed to arrive.

I think the one at the GCR is going into black(?) too, so that might be a contender, or would 48151 be available?............ if so, maybe a Jub would turn up as well........ a Scot, a Jub & an 8F really would be a way to end the season! :):):)

The GCR 8F is going weathered BR black but I have read it is only temporary.

But define the word "temporary"........ as an example of temporary, the Duchess springs to mind........ ;)

It'll be a poster paint job as far as I'm aware. So for it to last to October would be impressive....

Has a Jube ever visited the MHR? Can't say I've ever seen any photos of one there.

Great news about the Scot though, was in two minds about booking time off of work for the autumn gala... decision made! :)

I don't think David Smith is in the habbit of hiring engines to preserved lines. The MNR bash was billed as a one-off so I can't see 48151 attending and this also unfortunately rules out 44932, 45699 and 46115. 45690 could be an option, though.

A better bet would be the Turkish one at the GWSR more likely I'd say.

    That's what I was alluding to....... ;)

A black Jub would certainly add something different!

I would love to see the ELR's Jinty 47324 attend if it was in traffic. It would be a kind of homecoming in a way as it was first based at the MHR after extraction from Barry scrapyard. Shouldn't be too expensive to bring in by road I'd have thought also.
Would be great working shuttles Alresford to Ropley.
