The MHR have added an extra Real Ale Train to the programme on Saturday 22nd Sept. Details are on the MHR website. The train departs 7:20pm from Alton, you get two round trips on the line, and the return is timed to connect with South West Trains' 22:44 Alton - Waterloo service. I was at Medstead on Saturday and there are still some tickets available at £14 each. The ale is just £2 per pint and if you book more than 3 days in advance, the first pint is free. Numbers are limited, though, so advance booking is strongly recommended.
