    Hi,
I know it's 31806 and 45379 rostered throughout January but can anyone please tell me which loco is booked to work the diagram beginning with the 10:50 off of Alton?

I would have thought the black five as it is facing Alresford, and U is facing Alton.

You can't always take that has gospel. But rule of thumb would say 45379 to work from Alton. I'm still waiting to see 43007 Wadebride in steam. The last time she was out was over the autumn gala. Sha hasn't worked a service train on her own for some time now and has never worked smoke box out of Alresford. It's just my luck the day she's booked to work the weather will be crap.

Aren't you forgetting the autumn gala, or doesn't that count?

For memory she didn't work the complete line on her own? But I could be wrong.

I was behind her, smoke box out of Alresford, at lunch time on the Sunday as far as Ropley (and it wasn't the shuttle) and I don't remember anything coming on there, I know she wasn't rostered to work the line on her own but Nellie had just thrown the timetable out of the window and after 34007 left Ropley nothing moved for ages- so yes she did!

Thanks for correcting me on that. Taking photos over the gala weekend you forget what happen and everything becomes a bit of a blur. All I can remember is 34007 worked a lot of shuttles between Alresford and Ropley and working a few round trips double heading with other locos.

Thanks for the replies but today it was the U tender first out of Alton and the Black 5 tender first out of Alresford on the first trains of the day. Hoping for the right way round Sunday for the morning shots.

I am sure I did a solo run with her on the Saturday just before she did a top n tail run with 31806.

Same again today. But I was able to get a great afternoon shot from wanders curve (15.46 off Ropley). When locos work the last service from Alresford to Alton smoke box first you can get some nice sunset shots from Wanders curve. So you lose the first morning photos but gain the later afternoon photos.

With only around ten weeks before the MHR Spring gala. It can't be to long before we get some info regarding visiting locos.
