MHR War On The Line: 14TH & 15TH JUNE 2014.

    Going to this event on Saturday and I am really looking forward to one of my favourite events on the MHR. Anyone else going?

    Loco's scheduled to be in use (on three formations?) are 850, 925 & 31806. There is also an air display from two Spitfires wearing D-Day stripes.

    A word of warning to people travelling to this event by SWT to Alton. The BBMF air display by two Spitfires is scheduled for 16.00 approx. at Ropley on the BBMF website:

    The last train from Alresford to Alton departs Alresford at 16.12 and Ropley at 16.30. Don't get too carried away watching the display otherwise you might miss your connection back to Alton!

    On Sunday the display is timed for 14.30 and features only one Spitfire according to the BBMF site.
