This might not belong here, but has anyone else noticed the odd picture advertising the MHR, which shows a train, presumably meant to be travelling, but with a door open at the back?!

Sounds like @Spamcan81 sticking his fluffy appendage out of the window!

Yes we saw him on the 1100 on Saturday as well so I had to move to the back of the first coach to get my video shots but the appendage wasn’t poked out very far

Tomorrow is 506 & 41312, so I'd imagine the same for the weekend.

Looks like it was taken on a Photo Charter @DutyDruid and I ran. We'd obviously got the particpants in position waiting for the train to set back

A fine fellow today....wreath also featured. For some reason 41312 ended up on the shuttle after originally being on the Alresford set, as seen here. Possibly because of the wet today!

The latest Watercress Line Films unit video has been released. It covers 34072's first weekend of operation:

A wonderful day at the Mid Hants today. With the great heat due tomorrow it was the closest I could sensibly get to the 13 August (Tuesday next week), to photo 34072. The 13th August will be 60 years to the day when I had my only run behind 34072 in normal steam days, on the 19.28 Bournemouth West to Waterloo.

So very many thanks to @Stinch and others for keeping up with the roster changes and therefore getting me to the line to spend a very full day in the company of 41312 and 34072.

And thanks also to the driver of 34072 today, who so very kindly put the Bournemouth headcode on 34072 for the last climb up 'The Alps' today- that was done via my request to the very helpful guard as the loco was off the platform end.

I did get the driver's name, but promptly forgot it. I promised his wife, who watched the arrival at Medstead this evening, they could have copies of any of my photos today. I'll need a couple of days to edit and name all I took, and then post some here, and I wonder if, when I have done that if @Stinch would be good enough to alert the driver to them being here, so I can email copies of any that are wanted.

And I can't finish my note here without mentioning the two guys taking charge of Medstead and Four Marks today. Very helpful indeed, including pointing me in the direction of the excellent local bakers where I got my lunch! As well as selling me my day rover ticket and also enabling me to make a modest gift aided donation which was the least I could do for all the help I was given today.

I weny yesterday, I was more interested in the Ivatt tank and it was quite something to be in an immaculate bulleid coach behind it as it hammered out of Alton.

Good as well to see the guard was alert and stopped the train with his brake when someone opened the door before the train had stopped at Ropley
