    Hello all,

We'll be holding a Mixed Traffic Event on Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th March 2015.

    Locomotives in traffic will be 1163 "Whitehead", BR Standard Class 5MT 73129, Class 08 08590, Class 25 D7671 and Class 31 31108.

A diesel hauled DMU drag will be taking place on Saturday and Sunday (expected to be 31108 on Saturday and D7671 on Sunday) and there will be the chance to ride over our "south curve" at Riddings on the other train at certain times.

The timetable is now available here.

    Departures from Butterley will be:

    Saturday & Sunday - 10:00, 10:40, 11:10, 11:20, 12:00, 12:30, 12:40, 13:20, 13:50, 14:00, 14:40, 15:20,
    15:50, 16:00, 16:30 & 16:40

The event also coincides with "Teddy Bears Weekend" so if any children bring a Teddy, they'll get in for free.

As always, locomotives will be subject to availability.

With the top and tailed trains with 73129 and the class 25/31 can I assume that 73129 will be doing all the work when heading west and the diesel when heading east?

That's pretty much correct yes - although (without looking at the timetable) they do swap round around the middle of the day so both engines get the chance to be on the west end of the train from Ironville.
