I completed the Sponsored walk yesterday (6 miles) from County School station to Dereham. The appeal was for £3000 to produce new gates for County School and Neatherd road LC.

I have the full album on the link below, also included was the unveiling of an original 1919 GER map of the entire system donated recently.

If you would still like to donate that please email ( dace1000(at)hotmail.co.uk) me, I will be sending the money off next week.

    Thanks

It took about 2 and a quarter hours, quite a hard walk due to the ballast. Lovely scenery though, saw lots of wildlife (inc barn owl which flew right in front of me and others (and this was mid day!).
There are alot of sleepers to replace, most are rotten or starting to go. Nearer Dereham the new ones start popping up.
