Full details of the Weekend's events are on the website http://www.mnr.org.uk/events/railway-at-war-1940s-weekend-2016-08-06/

A late additional feature has now been added on Saturday and Sunday which is not shown on the website.

A GW Toad Brakevan will be added to three service trains on both days, available to passengers already in possession of a valid full-line return ticket, in exchange for a further modest donation towards our maintenance shed fund.

The Brakevan will operate return trips leaving Dereham on Saturday at 10.30, 13.00 & 15.45. On Sunday, it will be added to the 09.30, 11.30 & 14.15 departures from Dereham.

The suggested donation is £3 per single journey - but do feel free to be more generous if you wish!

In one direction on each return trip, the Brakevan will be next to the steam locomotive so you get maximum effect - but don't wear your best clothes!

    Please also note the following:
Brakevan trips are not suitable for smaller children.
Access will not generally be available from and to the Brakevan at intermediate stations, due to short platforms.
Access to the Brakevan rides, which cannot be pre-booked, will be on a first come, first served basis, and there is of course only limited capacity.
