Moguls Galore! NNR Spring Steam Gala 4th-6th March 2016

North Norfolk Railways Spring Steam Gala will see 3 2-6-0s Moguls in the gala. As well a local Loco returning to its home turf.
Visitors :

Ivatt 4MT 43106 (Second Visit back on home turf) visiting from SVR

Southern U Boat 31806 visiting from Swanage

Home locos will also be in use including BR Standard 4MT 76084 to complete the Trio of Moguls.

BR Standard 9F Class, No. 92203, 2-10-0 'Black Prince'

GER Y14 Class, No. 564, 0-6-0

As well as one of the following (subject to confirmation)

LNER B12 Class, No. 8572, 4-6-0

HUNSLET '16 Inch' Class, No.1982, 0-6-0

Update On the Home Locos which will be out during the gala.

 

Looking forward to visiting for this event. Always a warm welcome and good show at the NNR and particularly looking forward to a few trips behind 31806.

What time to services usually start on gala days?

 

At previous galas 8:30 from each end but happy to be corrected.

 

Any sign of the timetable yet??

 

Another visitor announced on the NNR Facebook page...

"We are pleased to announce another visitor for our March Steam Gala 4566 2-6-2 Ex-Great Western Railway Locomotive. The loco is courtesy of 4566 Fund Group & Severn Valley Railway. It will arrive the week before the Gala and return straight after the event."

Still no timetables on the NNR website, unless I'm missing something.

Timetables are now on the NNR website it seems.

Unfortunately it looks like the Standard 4MT and B12 will not be running due to continued works. However Ring Haw and Wissington will be making rare gala day appearances.
Personally despite this bad news I'm looking forward to the gala. Especially seeing the J15 in GER guise as I've not seen it yet.
