A multi-million pound museum redevelopment is unveiled to the public on Friday.

Nearly £7m has been spent on refurbishing Coventry Transport Museum, which follows a £7.5m makeover two years ago. New facilities include a commercial vehicle and motorcycle gallery and an education centre. The museum celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 2005 and is one of the most-visited attractions in Coventry.

Sir Nick Scheele, the former president of Ford, was appointed the first ever president of the museum earlier this year. A prominent figure in the international motor industry, Sir Nick has strong connections to the city and has been chief executive of Jaguar Cars.
