I've just spent a very enjoyable family holiday in North Wales which allowed visits to the Ffestiniog, Welsh Highland, Talyllyn, Bala Lake and Snowdon Mountain Railways. A big thanks must go to my wife and daughter for tolerating (and enjoying) the week!

My photos can be found on my fotopic site.

    Regards,

    Paul

I am about to do a very similar thing except I won't be doing Bala but will enjoy Vale of Rheidol instead plus Welshpool and Llanfair. The most difficult one to book was Snowdon which was a right pain due to high demand since they built the visitor centre. I just pray that the weather will be good.

We didn't go up Snowdon as the weather didn't look good all week high up. However, the afternoon we were passing Llanberis it did look like there may have been a chance of it being clear up top. I shall do the Welshpool at their gala in September and am looking forward to seeing 'The Earl' and 'Countess'.

    Regards,

    Paul

    Hi Paul

Great, I enjoyed your photos, especially those of the K1 (quess why Garrattfan is my second name :-k )
I visited WHR in June in excellent conditions. You can find an essay on that visit, and others in the UK on my site under "News and Articles")
