    A friend from work had a glass slide scanned in and has asked me if anybody knows what station this was/is?

    Obviously from last century about 1909 he thinks

    Ascot ? Is that what I mean? the one with the covered walkway to the adjacent hotel or was it hospital....

    Not Ascot, which had more platforms and sidings (unless those were added later).

    Looks strangely like Alnmouth to me with the footbridge design reminiscent of the NER / NB designs from the East Coast.

    I'm feeling a bit of deja vu here! I remember someone asking the same question with the same picture 1-2 years ago, not sure if it was on here or UKTS though. Unfortunately I can't remember the answer!
