N&W "J" 611

See there is a post on the net this morning of a feasibility study to see if its possible to bring N&W J class 611 back to steam -- heres hoping the answer is yes .. site www.fireup611.org

 

I love this locomotive! When she was pulled out of excursion service in 1994 we railfans were heartbroken. I couldn't Agree more about bringing her back to life.

By the way there are some strong people on the Fire Up 611 Commitee.

 

Great set of clips there RalphW , as you say a beast , would be great to see her back on the mainline - here's hoping for a good result .

Suddenyl my girlfriend's repeated requests for an American holiday may be falling on somewhat less-deaf ears! I would love to see this one on the move.
