Newton Abbot Festival of Transport..May 2000

    Newton Abbots Festival of Transport was held over the weekend of the 13th and 14th May 2000.
    Various events were held including 4 mainline charters,star of which was 4472 Flying Scotsman on a charter from London Victoria. Other charters were hauled by Pannier 9600,31601 and 31602 and 66119.

    Thanks for posting that. Me and my Grandad were on the Class 66 railtour on the Saturday. That day holds good memories. Was the first time I saw 4472 which we saw at Slough, Newbury Racecourse, Newton Abbot Racecourse when it was arriving and on display at Newton Abbot station (I still have a picture of a 9 year old me next to 4472). The shuttles were a nice addition and festival as a whole was very good.

    No problem Dan, Ive been going through all my old videos ..most of them havent been seen so uploading them is better than the tapes lying in a box..
