On 6th November 2011 31289 will be celebrating it's 50th birthday by working special passenger services alongside 47205, which has been undergoing an overhaul for the past few years.

    For further details see http://www.nlr.org.uk/events/31289_50.htm

Also what livery variations will the two locos be in is the question.......

A vintage bus service is scheduled to run from Northampton station to Pitsford & Brampton station on the NLR

    UPDATE 7 OCT:
London Midland are doing 'Go anywhere' on there network for £10 on Sunday 6th Nov.
You need to visit their website (http://www.londonmidland.com/tickets-and-fares/great-escape/) and print a voucher off which is handed in at the station when buying a ticket - there is a limited number of vouchers so best to download quickly!!

The other items of news are relating to the bus shuttle.
London Midland are allowing the bus (Ex Northampton Transport No.267 Reg: JVV267G - Red Daimler Double Decker) to depart from the station forecourt.
The bus will connect with services from both the North and South and will wait upto 15mins for late running services.
(If required train services at the NLR will be held to allow connection with the bus service if running late (Up to a maximum of 20 mins).

Also the prices of the event tickets have been reduced - an adult day rover is £12.50 - full details to be put onto the event's web page shortly

    Update 31 Oct 2011

6 days to go until the event, despite this weekend's theft discoveries (see Thiefwatch board).

The questions to be answered on next Sunday are what liveries will the loco's be running in and what will their identities be?....

A quick note to say thanks to all who came along to the NLR today.
The team had a good day operating the line in a different way to normal.
