As some of you may be aware, since mid July I have ceased to be involved with the NNR's website. I have been unable to comment before now as discussions were ongoing with the railway's board, but now that these have been completed I would like to express my thanks to everybody who has supported the website over the last 3 and a half years that I have been running it. In particular I would like to thank the many of you who kindly sent in photos or news items for publication and for the many complimentary comments I received via the guestbook and via email.

Also thanks for everybody's patience whilst we were experiencing problems with our webcams. I know at times it was a bit frustrating (for all of us!) but I hope it didn't cause too much disappointment during the downtime.

I guess now I'll have more time to spend doing student-y things or guarding trains or something!

I know how difficult it is to dedicate time to doing these websites whilst keeping them right up to date so you clearly did a good job! It is important not to get bogged down sometimes and let it overtake things like studying - although often, doing the website is more fun than actually doing work.

I see a new webcam has gone up at Holt, now I can view progress on the new water crane
(viewable at the bottom) and siding.
